investors, companies, and research teams offering solutions to
a broad range of national health security threats. These
include drugs and indicators to reduce illness and death from
sepsis, technologies and processes to identify biological and
other threats, and tools and techniques to mitigate the
damages and loss of life associated with catastrophic events.
DRIVe (Division of Research, Innovation,
and Ventures) was established by the Biomedical Advanced
Research and Development Authority (BARDA),
part of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness
and Response (ASPR), within the United States
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
